PAUL'S PAGE

It's time for a redesign of Paul's Page. The content is now divided by hobby, to make it easier for information to be accessed. Paul has a wide variety of hobbies and interests. From taping Grateful Dead shows to competing in archery competitions, he always keeps himself on the move. This is just a snapshot of some of the interests...

LIVE RECORDINGS

Most of my recording is local these days. It has become more difficult to travel with gear and tape shows these days, but I still enjoy recording. I'm going to use this area to publish the "tracks of the quarter."

TARGET ARCHERY

Twenty plus Sunday's during the year, Paul competes Nationally in National Field Archery (NFAA) 3-D competitions. 3-D target archery is essentially golf with a bow. There is a 42 target course that ranges shots from 7 to 101 yards in various shooting situations. In 2004, Paul placed 2nd in the NFAA Outdoor National Tournament in Redding, CA and participated in the World Archery Classic in Atlantic City, NJ. 2004 was a difficult year with all the traveling, but Paul still managed two 1st place finishes, seven 2nd place finishes and one third place finish in the NFAA and California Bow Hunters Association shoots.

HUNTING AND FISHING

This year has been a slow year for hunting and fishing. Paul did draw an A5 (X3a) archery mule deer tag. He is also gearing up to head to Montana in November with Siobhan for a few days of elk hunting and fly fishing in Big Sky. Paul hasn't had much time to guide this year either, but some friends have picked up the slack at First Light Guides. Photos are usually posted in the photo gallery.

THE LAND CRUISER PROJECT

After two years of restoration, the 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser is nearing completion! Thanks to Ron Diaz at Custom Crusiers FJ40 in Gilroy, CA... the Cruiser has a new V8 305, front disc breaks, power steering, automatic transmission, front bucket seats, new gauges, a new rack and a Mile Marker 12000 winch. Photos are usually posted in the photo gallery.
